The Brawa 50090 H0 DR gas tank car ZZd, Era III, 'VEB Farbenfabrik Wolfen', is a detailed model of the 6-axle gas tank car supplied by the Fuchs wagon factory in 1941, which belonged to the Deutsche Reichsbahn. With a length over buffers of 14.6 m and a tank volume of 42.5 m³, this wagon was larger than the contemporary tank wagons for acids. The wagons were specially designed for the transportation of gases such as butane and propane and some were fitted with a sun canopy to protect the gas from overheating in the sun. In the west, the wagons were handed over to the private wagon hire company VTG, while in the east the Reichsbahn operated the wagons directly. A notable conversion on the Reichsbahn East wagons was the change of the boiler access, which was now only accessible from the handbrake platform.
