The Brawa 50411 H0 Gags-v "Fortschritt" Covered Freight Car, DR, Era IV is a finely detailed model featuring distinctive "Fortschritt" lettering and is ideal for realistic freight train formations.
The model bears the road number 21 50 199 2436-8 and represents a covered freight car of the DR. Thanks to its design, the car is a perfect fit for freight yards, industrial sidings, general cargo services, and mixed freight trains of Era IV.
While the Deutsche Bundesbahn did not procure any four-axle covered freight cars, these vehicles were an important part of the DR’s freight car fleet. Based on developments during the war, various types were produced and deployed in large numbers.
Starting in 1966, the GGhrsz type was procured, which was later designated Gagmrs-v and subsequently Gags. With this design, the Deutsche Reichsbahn established its final version of four-axle covered freight cars.
