Are you looking for a typical Era V bulk freight car for your modern block trains? The Brawa 50620 Fals 176 is a reliable representation of heavy freight transport from the 1990s—ready for service transporting coal, ore, or coke with a prototypical appearance.
With a length over buffers of 137 mm and close-coupling mechanism, the car can be optimally integrated into longer trains. The fine printing and paint finish, multi-part brake system with brake shoes at wheel level, and separately attached signal brackets ensure a realistic appearance. Road number: 82 80 665 2 271-9.
The Fals 176 type was originally procured for the DB starting in 1969 and manufactured to UIC standards. In Era V, many of these cars were repainted in the DB AG color scheme and remained an integral part of bulk freight transport. Equipped with bogies such as the BA 664 or Y25, they proved their worth in daily operation over the course of decades.
The Fals 176 cars mostly operated in fixed block trains—hauled by BR 151, BR 140, or, later, BR 185 locomotives. They transported coal or ore to power plants, steel mills, or industrial facilities—typical freight traffic in Germany during the 1990s.
Ideal for combining with other Fals, Fads, or Falns cars. Also excellent as part of mixed trains with Eas or Eanos. Particularly well-suited for scenes featuring loading facilities, port connections, or industrial areas.
The Brawa 50620 combines classic bulk car construction with the DB AG look—for discerning model railroaders who value realistic Era V train sets.
