Are you looking for a sturdy bulk freight car for your Era V train sets? The Brawa 50622 Fals 186 is a typical representative of DB AG’s modern freight transport—perfectly suited for the bulk transport of ore, coal, or coke in realistic block train formations.
With a length over buffers of 137 mm and close-coupling kinematics, the car is ideal for use. The detailed printing and paint scheme, multi-part brake system with brake shoes at wheel level, and separately attached signal brackets ensure a realistic appearance. Road number: 84 80 665 9 017-9.
The Fals 186 model is a modernized further development of the Fads and Fals cars procured in the 1970s. During Era V, many of these cars were technically upgraded and relabeled in the DB AG design. Equipped with Y25 or BA 664 bogies, they remained an essential part of bulk freight transport.
Fals 186 cars were primarily used in fixed rotations—often in trains of 30 to 40 cars bound for power plants or industrial customers. They were frequently hauled by BR 151 or BR 140 locomotives, and in later years also by BR 185 locomotives—typical of the era of railway reform.
This car combines excellently with other Fals and Fads cars and fits perfectly on model railroads focused on freight traffic from the 1990s. It can also be used in mixed trains with Falns, Eas, or Eanos cars.
The Brawa 50622 combines classic construction with a modern look—ideal for model railroaders who want to recreate the authentic operational dynamics of Era V.
