About the model: The DB AG Bmh passenger car, associated with Era V is a high quality model of the BRAWA brand. The car was manufactured on a scale of 1:87 and impresses with a high-quality look with detailed paint schemes and printing. Furthermore, the model has been equipped with numerous features, such as prototypical interior furnishings as well as free-standing grab irons and close coupler kinematics. In addition, the car has already been prepared for retrofitting interior lighting.
About the prototype: Various changes, especially to the toilet facilities, later led to various substructure types. The first line on which the new cars were used was the Leipzig-Chemnitz line, which was declared as a regional express line (RSB). The locomotive used here was the class 232. With progressive closures at the DR and replacement by railcars, the cars also came to services in the old federal states. They were mostly used with the Bybdzf 482 control cars, which were converted from 1995 onwards, in push-pull service with a head end. In the former DR region, BR 112, 143, 219 and 234 were mainly used for this purpose, with many of them being taken over by the Hungarian State Railways. At DB AG, Eisenach-Halle is one of the last lines on which the "long Halberstädters" are used.
