The Brawa 50801 Uikk631 low loader wagon is a special wagon for transporting heavy, compact goods on your model railroad layout. As an authentic model of Era IV, it impresses with its true-to-original implementation, intricate detailing and precise reproduction of the legendary Krupp design. With its typical design and technical features, this wagon is a stylish addition to any German Federal Railroad freight train set.
The wagon is presented in plain black, typical of many DB heavy goods vehicles. The curved solebar is precisely reproduced and makes the compact design of this low-loader wagon immediately recognizable. The workmanship meets Brawa's high standards: fine engravings, precise lettering and a robust body characterize this model.
Equipped with close coupling kinematics, the low loader wagon can be easily integrated into existing train formations. The model is intended purely for transportation and impresses with its realistic implementation, even without extensive additional functions. Between 1957 and 1966, Friedrich Krupp Maschinenfabriken AG produced a total of 15 units of the St 309a low loader wagon for the German Federal Railroad. These vehicles were optimized for compact heavy-duty transport and were characterized by their robust, minimalist design. The lack of an air brake was due to the design, which meant that only one set of wheels could be locked using a handbrake. Some examples were also taken over by the Dutch state railroads. The last wagons were only retired from the DB AG fleet in 2004 - proof of their longevity.
Compatible with all common H0 track systems, the low-loader wagon is ideal for train compositions with heavy-duty and flat wagons. It looks particularly impressive in combination with transported goods such as machines or steel parts. The close-coupling kinematics enable realistic wagon spacing and safe operation.
