The Brawa 50972 K2 "Salmenbräu" is a finely detailed H0 model of a covered freight car of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) from Era III. With its eye-catching brewery advertising and prototypical technical design, this car is a real eye-catcher for any model railroad layout with a focus on Swiss railroad operations or historic advertising cars.
The model impresses with its precise printing and paintwork, finely reproduced board joints and a true-to-original frame structure. Wheel sets with center bearings, metal axles and close coupler kinematics in accordance with the NEM standard guarantee smooth and stable operation.
As early as the 1920s, freight wagons were procured in Switzerland according to a standardized concept in order to simplify maintenance and the supply of spare parts. The K2 shown here with a 5 m wheelbase was a modernized version of the first series with a 4.5 m wheelbase and was taken over in large numbers by SBB - as was this advertising model for the Salmenbräu brewery.
The Brawa 50972 K2 "Salmenbräu" is the ideal choice for model railroaders who want to enrich their collection with a historic, prototypical and charming advertising car. A perfect combination of Swiss railroad history and the art of model building.
