The Brawa 50988 H0 Covered Goods Wagon Ibs "Skyline Ruhrgebiet" is a model of the refrigerated wagon Tnf Berlin (Tnfs38), which was built in 1942 as a simplified type of refrigerated wagon. The basic design originated from the Glmhs Dresden, but this refrigerated wagon was fitted with 300 mm thick insulation and a zinc sheet interior lining to protect the wooden lining from moisture. The sliding doors originally used were replaced by double-leaf hinged doors, and the wagon was characterized by vertical boarding and a white coat of paint. From the mid-1950s, Deutsche Bahn modernized the carriages it had taken over by replacing plain bearings with roller bearings and installing new car bodies where the insulation was inadequate. The conspicuous box frame was replaced by horizontal boards or plywood panels. These wagons were later used by private breweries to transport beer and were often decorated with the company's own advertising.
