Description

Brawa 51182 H0 Covered freight wagon Glmrs [1364], DR, Era IV - Modernized classic of DR freight traffic

Are you looking for an authentic freight car for your Era IV trains? The Brawa 51182 Glmrs [1364] of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) is an excellently detailed model of a modernized Gmhs wagon - an indispensable workhorse in freight transport in the 1970s and 80s.

Technically sophisticated realization

With a length over buffers of 115 mm and close coupler kinematics in accordance with NEM, the car can be reliably and safely integrated into freight trains. It has impressive metal axle bearings, extra axle bearing covers, grab irons, steps and a multi-part brake system with brake shoes at wheel level. The prototypical frame structure and openwork car body supports provide a realistic appearance. Road number: 21 50 133 0010-2.

The prototype - The Gmhs 11 in a new look

The type Gmhs 11 (or Glmrs 1364) cars continued to be produced in the Soviet occupation zone after the Second World War. They were based on the "Bremen" design - a welded successor to the Oppeln wagons. From 1967, many of these vehicles were extensively modernized at RAW Magdeburg: UIC loading and ventilation sliders, sheet metal side walls, sheet metal roofs and roller bearings characterized the new appearance. The DR continued to use these modernized wagons for decades.

Typical freight wagon for everyday life in the GDR

The Glmrs [1364] was a universally usable wagon - whether for general cargo transport, as an express freight wagon or in round trips for industrial companies. With its functional, robust design, it was an integral part of GDR rail traffic and was often used with locomotives of the 106, 110 or 118 series.

Ideal for DR train scenes of the 1970s and 1980s

Whether in mixed freight trains, shunting yards or transfer trains - this wagon fits perfectly into realistic DR scenarios. It also cuts an excellent figure in combination with other modernized G cars or special vehicles such as refrigerator or tank cars.

A real everyday vehicle - realized true to detail

With the Brawa 51182 you get a versatile model with a high recognition value on your layout - robust, precisely lettered and modernized to match the prototype.
