The Brawa "Adler-Brauerei Bielstein" beer car is a faithfully reproduced model from Era II that brings the traditional beer transportation of the German State Railroad (DRG) to life. Beer was one of the first goods to be transported nationwide by the railroads. In order to meet the special requirements, breweries ordered specially designed freight wagons with insulation, which were hired by the railroad companies. Due to the often small production series, the wagons were not uniform in their construction, but they adhered to basic standards that corresponded to the freight wagons of the time.
The prototype of this model is based on a construction with an attached, vertically mounted wooden paneling that covers the load-bearing box frame and widens the car body. This design was widespread between 1910 and 1970 and was used by numerous breweries. The wagon was preferably used for transporting beer, which was optimally protected from external influences by the special design of the wagon.
