Description

Brawa 51371 H0 Open Freight Car Eas070, DB AG, Era V

Are you looking for an open freight car for your H0 layout that realistically complements DB AG’s freight traffic in Era V? The Brawa 51371 H0 Open Freight Car Eas070, DB AG, Era V is a highly detailed model for modern freight train formations and is an excellent fit for marshalling yards, freight terminals, and industrial sidings.

The prototype is based on open freight cars from the former DR, of which DB AG took over approximately 680 cars of the 5965 type. At DB AG, these cars were assigned the type number 070 and were initially continued in service without modification.

DB AG Eas070 Open Freight Car

Since the dimensions of the car body complied with UIC specifications, continued operation was possible without any problems. Later, most of these cars were converted into wood chip cars, causing them to undergo an interesting evolution in the prototype as well.

Highly Detailed Model for Era V

The H0 model has a length over buffers of 161.6 mm and bears the road number 11 80 596 467-2. With bogies featuring three-point bearings, a multi-part braking system, and separately attached axle box caps, this car provides a solid foundation for realistic freight trains.

Get the Brawa 51371 H0 Eas070 Open Freight Car from DB AG and expand your model railroad layout with a distinctive Era V freight car.
