Description

Brawa 58230 H0 Electric locomotive E 95, DR, Era III - GDR classics for analog model railroad layouts

Would you like to bring a piece of East German railroad history to life on your analog H0 DC layout? Then the Brawa 58230 E 95 is exactly the right choice. This model embodies the imposing appearance and technical power of the electric locomotives of the young German Reichsbahn - true to detail, sound-prepared and ready for heavy use on your layout.

Powerful appearance meets classic technology

The E 95 impresses with its detailed, three-dimensional running gear, the finest printing and cleanly coordinated paintwork. Free-standing grab rails, filigree roof lines, individually attached lamps and the faithfully reproduced pantograph underline the high-quality overall impression. Precisely fitted windows and color-coordinated roof equipment make the locomotive an eye-catcher on any Era III layout.

Analog operation with expansion potential

Although the model is designed for analog operation, it is already prepared for locomotive sound - ideal for anyone who wants to upgrade to digital later. Two motors with flywheel mass, four traction tires and close-coupling kinematics ensure powerful driving characteristics and reliable operation. The light change including switchable third headlight (analog via POM, digital via function key) brings additional realism to the driving operation.

A prototype with history

The Brawa E 95 is based on an extraordinary history: After the Second World War, numerous locomotives were sent to the Soviet Union as reparations. Three E 95s returned to the GDR in the 1950s and were rebuilt in the RAW Dessau for use in heavy freight train service. A technical monument on wheels - now also available as a model.

For Era III layouts with high standards

With a length over buffers of 240 mm and a minimum radius of 360 mm, the locomotive can be easily integrated into existing layouts - whether on main lines or in realistic freight yards. It offers the perfect combination of visual presence, technical robustness and historical flair.

The ideal choice for analog history enthusiasts

The Brawa 58230 E 95 is more than just an electric locomotive - it is a model with a soul. For all those who drive analogue, but want the highest quality of detail and want to keep the option of digitization open at a later date.
