The model is equipped with a NEM coupler socket and close-coupling mechanism. It is prepared for interior lighting, which can be retrofitted. A digital interface or sound function is not included. The model’s road number is: Münster 19 395.

High-quality craftsmanship down to the smallest detail

This car boasts numerous realistic features: Metal axle supports, prototypical axle bearing caps, and brake shoes at wheel level ensure an authentic appearance. The separately attached axle brake linkage and the multi-part brake system make the technical design easy to understand, even for experts. The fully replicated car floor and the interior furnishings specific to this variant underscore the high standard of model accuracy.

The historical prototype—DRG skirted cars

The C4ü-38 class was among the express train cars with which the Deutsche Reichsbahn sought to advance modern passenger rail service. Between 1939 and 1940, 310 of these cars were delivered. New welding techniques, aerodynamically optimized body panels, and staggered doors made the cars ahead of their time. Despite wartime restrictions on their use, many cars were preserved and later remained in service with the DB—in some cases even into the 1970s. Some of these cars were also used by the ÖBB and SNCF.

Included in the package is the fully assembled Brawa 58245 C4ü-38 passenger car with detailed decals, a fully reproduced interior, and pre-wired LED interior lighting. Accessory parts and instructions for retrofitting the lighting are also included.
