To implement the slogan “Every hour, every class,” existing Bm 234-type cars were technically modified—including the installation of disc and magnetic track brakes as well as 093-type wheel sets. These modernized cars defined high-quality long-distance service well into the 2000s and were deployed in various color schemes—ranging from ocean blue and beige to IC brand colors, a light gray and traffic red design, and even ICE livery.
