Brawa 58280 H0 express train car Bm 235.0, DB, Ep. VI, AC-Innenbeleuchtung Product Details

Description

Are you looking for a modernized express train car with LED interior lighting for your AC layout?

With the Brawa 58280 H0 Bm 235.0 express train car from DB AG, you can add a perfectly detailed model in the current Era VI design to your H0 model railway layout. This car, featuring factory-installed LED interior lighting, impresses with its technical features, precise reproduction, and ideal compatibility with the 3-wire AC system.

Model Information & Technical Data

The car is manufactured for H0 gauge (1:87) and has a length over the buffers of 303 mm. It is designed for AC operation (3-wire) and features factory-installed LED interior lighting. The equipment includes a solderable interface as well as a NEM-compliant coupler shaft with close-coupling kinematics for reliable transitions.

Design with an eye for detail – exactly like the prototype

The car features a scale-accurate window layout and period-correct interior furnishings. Additional highlights include the spring-loaded rubber bumpers at the car transition, the separately attached steps and handrails, and the separately mounted generator on the bogie. The butt-welded roof underscores the high-quality reproduction of this modern passenger car.

Technically Sophisticated – With Lighting for Atmospheric Effects

The integrated LED interior lighting ensures a realistic appearance, especially during trips at dusk or on illuminated layout sections. Disc-braked wheel sets of the 093 type ensure smooth running and visual authenticity. In addition, the car is compatible with the electric coupler from the BRAWA range – ideal for digital AC layouts.

Prototype History: From InterCity Classic to Modern Fleet

The Bm 235 type traces its origins to modifications of the Bm 234 cars as part of the InterCity ’79 program. With new braking systems, Type 093 wheel sets, and reinforced suspension, these cars were upgraded for high-speed service. In the 1990s and 2000s, many of these cars received new paint schemes, including the ICE design. The car shown here, with road number 51 80 22-90 436-2, represents this modern phase in the history of DB AG.

The perfect addition to modern Märklin-compatible layouts

Thanks to its AC compatibility, this car is ideal for 3-wire AC layouts. The LED lighting creates atmospheric effects and makes the model a highlight both day and night. Whether in IC sets or as a single car – this model impresses with its quality, prototypical accuracy, and functionality in Era VI.
