Description

Are you looking for a lighted DB baggage car from Era IV for your H0 layout?

The Brawa 58300 H0 Düe941 baggage car of the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) combines classic pre-war construction with typical modifications from the 1970s. Equipped with factory-installed LED interior lighting and a solderable interface, this car is ideal for realistic Era IV train sets.

Model Information & Technical Specifications

Manufactured in 1:87 scale for H0 gauge, the car measures 249.70 mm over the buffers. It is designed for the 2-wire direct current (DC) system, features factory-installed LED interior lighting, and has a solderable interface. Coupling is achieved via a NEM-compliant coupling shaft with close-coupling kinematics, enabling realistic operation.

Technical and visual details of the highest quality

The model features side walls specific to the variant and a corresponding roof design. Additional highlights include metal axle holders, prototypical axle bearing caps, brake shoes at wheel level, separately mounted axle brake linkage, and a multi-part brake system. The fully replicated vehicle floor and the fine printing and paint finish underscore the high-quality craftsmanship.

Interior lighting included—for atmospheric train scenes

The integrated LED lighting provides atmospheric illumination on your layout. The car truly reveals its full charm, especially in dimly lit environments or display cases. The solderable interface allows for custom modifications, while the coupling mechanism ensures smooth operation.

Prototype History: From the Pw4ü to the Düe941

The 1936/37-type cars were originally manufactured by the DRB using welded construction. Beginning in the 1960s, many of these cars underwent extensive modifications by the Deutsche Bundesbahn: the distinctive roof platforms were removed, additional windows were installed, and the dog compartments were eliminated. The resulting Düe941 type was used in passenger luggage transport until the mid-1980s—often in D-trains of Era IV.

Perfect for train sets from the 1970s and early 1980s

This baggage car fits perfectly into DB train formations from Era IV. It is an ideal model for anyone who values prototypical details, modern features, and reliable technology—a must-have for all fans of the Deutsche Bundesbahn.
