Brawa 58301 H0 luggage trolley carDües 943, DB, Ep. IV, AC-Innenbeleuchtung Product Details

Description

Are you looking for an illuminated DB baggage car from Era IV for your AC layout?

The Brawa 58301 H0 Düe941 baggage car of the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) combines historic design with modern features. Equipped with LED interior lighting and a solderable interface, it is ideal for Märklin-compatible layouts and train sets from the 1970s and early 1980s.

Model Information & Technical Data

The car is built for H0 gauge (1:87 scale) and measures 249.70 mm over the buffers. It is designed for the 3-wire AC system and features factory-installed LED interior lighting as well as a solderable interface. Thanks to the NEM coupler housing with close-coupling kinematics, the car can be safely integrated into train formations.

Technically well-executed – true to the prototype and functional

The roof and side wall design, specific to each variant, perfectly reflects the modifications of the 1960s and 1970s. Metal axle holders, prototypical axle bearing caps, brake shoes at wheel level, separately attached axle brake linkage, and a multi-part brake system are all part of the equipment, as is the fully replicated vehicle floor. Fine printing and paintwork ensure an excellent appearance.

With LED lighting for realistic operating scenarios

The integrated LED interior lighting creates atmospheric lighting effects during nighttime operation and makes the car an eye-catcher even in display cases. The solderable interface also offers you flexibility for future upgrades or modifications.

Background: From the Pw4ü to the Düe941

The original design of this car dates back to the 1930s. In the 1960s and 1970s, the DB converted many Pw4ü cars to Düe941. The roof platforms were removed, windows were added, and dog compartments were eliminated. These modified cars remained in service until the mid-1980s—a defining feature of many D-trains in Era IV.

Recommended for all AC modelers focusing on the Bundesbahn era

The Brawa 58301 is ideal for model railroaders with a Märklin system who are looking for an authentic and technically high-quality addition to Era IV trains. With LED lighting, true-to-original design, and AC compatibility, it is an asset to any layout.
