The Brawa 61225 N Class 216 "H.F. Wiebe" diesel locomotive combines the classic locomotive design of the V160 family with modern digital features. With a factory-installed sound decoder, LED light change, cab lighting and train rear end signal, this locomotive is perfect for demanding model railroad operation in Era VI.
The model is designed for N gauge (1:160) and measures 100 mm over buffers. It is based on the 2-wire direct current system (DC) and is digitized with true-to-original sound. The locomotive has a Next18 interface and factory-installed light and sound functions.
The 5-pole motor drives all axles and ensures prototypical speed and high tractive power. The locomotive is equipped with LED headlights (alternating white/red), cab lighting and end-of-train lighting. The digital sound functions make operation even more realistic - ideal for company railroaders.
The class 216 was once the backbone of DB's diesel traction. After its retirement, many locomotives went to private companies, including H. F. Wiebe, a renowned railroad construction company. The locomotive reproduced here bears the road number 92 80 1216 012-5 and runs in the striking yellow Wiebe color scheme. The model is a tribute to the successful second career of this locomotive series in the construction sector.
Whether in a construction site train, as a shunting locomotive or on transport lines - the BR 216 "H.F. Wiebe" with sound brings realistic operation, digital technology and a strong look to the 1:160 scale. A must for all those who want to represent private railroad operators in Era VI.
