Brawa 63122 N electric locomotive E 44, DRG, Ep. II Product Details

Description

Are you looking for a highly detailed Era II electric locomotive for your N scale layout?

The Brawa 63122 N electric locomotive E 44 from the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) impresses with its fine detailing, faithful reproduction of the prototype and modern technology on a scale of 1:160. With LED light change, cab lighting, Next18 interface and numerous attached parts, this locomotive is a highlight for any Era II layout.

Model information & technical data

The model is designed for N gauge and measures 95.60 mm over buffers. It is based on the 2-wire direct current system (DC) and has a Next18 interface for easy digitization. The model is not digitized at the factory and does not have sound.

Technical equipment & light functions

The locomotive has a white/red LED light change and a third headlamp that can be switched off - also in analog operation. There is also cab lighting. The chassis has kinematic bearings and three-point bearings for optimum running characteristics. The NEM coupler pocket with close coupler kinematics allows realistic train formations. Minimum radius: 192 mm.

Highest level of detail - a real collector's model

With numerous attached grab irons, ladders, roof lines, pantographs, insulators and brake equipment, the E44 007 is faithfully reproduced on a scale of 1:160. Even roof variants and engine room details are reproduced exactly - a real highlight for purists and connoisseurs.

Historical role model: The first series-produced bogie electric locomotive in Germany

The E 44 series was the first series-built bogie electric locomotive in Germany. Developed from the end of the 1920s, the locomotives came into service from 1933. They were approved for 90 km/h and shaped the image of electric transportation until the post-war period. The E44 007 was part of this successful series, the design of which served as the basis for many later DB electric locomotives.

For sophisticated Epoch II layouts in N scale

Whether in freight service or with classic DRG passenger coaches - the E 44 brings an authentic Reichsbahn atmosphere to your layout. Thanks to the finest engravings, realistic driving characteristics and modern technology, it is the perfect choice for fans of early electric traction.
