Brawa 63123 N electric locomotive E 44, DRG, Ep. II, DC-Sound Product Details

Description

Are you looking for a sound-electrified DRG electric locomotive for your Era II N layout?

The Brawa 63123 N electric locomotive E 44 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) offers everything that model railroaders with the highest demands expect: 16-bit digital sound, engine room and cab lighting, LED light change, Next18 interface and a highly detailed body with numerous attached components - all on a scale of 1:160.

Model information & technical data

The locomotive is designed for N gauge and measures 95.60 mm over buffers. It is operated via the 2-wire direct current system (DC), is digitized at the factory and has integrated sound with Next18 interface. All of the lighting is provided by long-life LEDs that can be switched digitally.

Highest level of technical equipment in a small format

The integrated sound decoder offers outstanding sound quality with up to 8 independently controllable channels. The optimized motor and load control ensures excellent driving characteristics. In addition to the front lighting with red/white light change, the cab lighting and engine room lighting can be switched in digital mode.

A masterpiece in N: the finest detailing

The model has intricate engravings, rivets, attached grab rails, access ladders and a multi-part cooling coil. Finely detailed bogies with brake cylinders, brake pull rods, sand boxes and Peyinghaus bearings as well as exposed roof lines and true-to-original pantographs of the SBS 39 type make this locomotive a real collector's item.

The prototype: The E 44 - a locomotive with history

The E 44 was Germany's first series-produced bogie electric locomotive. Developed at the end of the 1920s, it went into service from 1933 and shaped electric train services for decades. The E44 007 depicted here is an authentic model of this milestone in German railroad history, which was in service in East and West Germany until the post-war period.

For detail-loving Era II model railroaders with a focus on technology

With digital sound, LED technology, engine room lighting and the highest level of detailing, this electric locomotive is the perfect model for realistic Reichsbahn scenarios on sophisticated N layouts.
