Introduction

The TWINDEXX VARIO® 2nd class double-decker middle car from Brawa in N scale and Era VI is a modern addition to long-distance and regional trains operated by Deutsche Bahn. It combines spacious interiors with a high-quality appearance and enables flexible train formation - ideal if you want to upgrade the rolling stock in your train.

Design & workmanship

This coach has the typical DB IC2/IC look with traffic red accents and large windows that offer a great view of the interior. Doors, window frames and roof sections are neatly executed, the paintwork and lettering correspond to the prototype. Details such as the fan, grab rails, steps and underframe are also realistically designed.

Historical background

The TWINDEXX VARIO® coaches have been part of Deutsche Bahn's modern double-decker coach fleet since the mid-2010s. They are designed for high capacity and comfort, both on long-distance and local services. The 2nd class middle coach contributes to this train formation by offering many seats and can be used flexibly in different compositions.
