The Brawa 64547 N Double-Deck Center Car Dbdpza is a scale-accurate replica of the modern regional train cars from the Metronom train. Equipped with warm-white LED interior lighting and a digitally controllable destination display, this car impresses with its precise detailing, high-quality materials, and modern technology—ideal for Era VI.

Model Information & Technical Specifications

The model is built to a 1:160 scale for N gauge and measures 165 mm over the buffers. It is designed for 2-wire direct current (DC). The interior lighting is factory-installed. A function decoder (Order No. 0019695.01) is required for digital operation. The model must not be operated digitally without a decoder.

Lighting & Technical Features

The model features warm-white LED interior lighting as well as an illuminated destination sign, which can be switched on or off separately in digital operation. The car is made of impact-resistant plastic with a metal base plate for optimal running characteristics. The precisely fitted windows with printed frames, fine engravings, and painted details ensure a realistic appearance. Equipped with NEM-compliant close-coupling mechanism. Minimum curve radius: 192 mm.

Prototype: TWINDEXX Vario® in Metronom service

The model is based on Bombardier’s TWINDEXX Vario® platform, which is used in regional rail service in northern Germany by the Metronom railway company. On the RE 3 line from Hamburg Central Station, these double-decker cars reliably and comfortably transport thousands of commuters every day.
