About the model: The DR RRym heavy goods wagon is from Era III and boasts a detailed appearance consisting of brown paintwork with precise lettering and extra handle bars. The model has a length of 99 mm and was produced on a scale of 1:160.
About the prototype: The DB AG took over 1,044 of the 6-axle flat cars with low sides procured by the DR starting in 1952 and designated them as Samm 451. The cars were a specialty of the Eastern European railroads; these types of cars were not available in the West. Originally intended for transporting extra-heavy tracked vehicles for troop transports, the wagons were mainly used at the end of their life cycle as construction service wagons for transporting ballast, gravel or excavated material.
