The Brawa 70039 BR 44 steam locomotive is a real powerhouse of Era II in H0 scale. This locomotive of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (German State Railroad Company), constructed in great detail, impresses with the latest digital technology, impressive appearance and fully functional light and sound functions. The AC version with sound (Digital EXTRA) is ideal for demanding model railroaders with Märklin compatibility.
The class 44 was the backbone of heavy freight traffic in the 1930s. The model with the road number 44 097 - based in the Altenhundem depot of the Wuppertal station - is a realistic representation of a typical vehicle of this class. With a 2'2' T32 tender, Wagner wind deflectors and many filigree add-on parts, the impressive appearance of the prototype is perfectly captured.
Equipped with a Doehler & Haass decoder and integrated LokSound, the locomotive offers a wide range of functions: Driver's cab lighting, engine lighting, fire flickering as well as preparation for a smoke generator (No. 20). The drive is located in the tender, which gives the locomotive excellent running characteristics - even on tight radii from 420 mm.
The frame is made of perforated bar profile, the spoke wheels are made of die-cast zinc. The boiler, driver's cab and tender are made of finely detailed plastic components. Metal driving and coupling rods as well as individual metal axle bearings underline the quality. The movable internal drive unit with two crank axles provides for special visual dynamics when driving.
A masterpiece in technology and design - secure it now and let heavy freight trains roll authentically over your H0 layout with historic steam power!
