The built-in flywheel mass ensures smooth starting and even running characteristics, even at low speeds. The light changes automatically in the direction of travel and is equipped with a two-light headlight signal that corresponds to Era II.
The model can run on narrow track radii from 360 mm, whereby a minimum radius of 420 mm is recommended for optimum running characteristics.
The Brawa 70096 is painted in the classic black and red color scheme of Era II. The precisely applied road numbers and lettering give the model an authentic look. Fine rows of rivets, piping and other details have been reproduced with the greatest care in order to reproduce the prototype as accurately as possible.
For long-term trouble-free operation, the wheels and pantographs should be cleaned regularly to ensure optimum power consumption. The moving parts such as driving rods and axles should be lubricated occasionally with suitable model railroad oil. The prepared smoke generator can be easily installed and maintained to make the model even more realistic.
