The Brawa 70102 H0 steam loc omotive 01 100 is an exclusive replica of the legendary express train locomotive of the German Federal Railroad (DB) from Era III. The class 01 was the first standardized express locomotive of the Deutsche Reichsbahn and set new standards in express train traffic. The locomotive with the road number 01 100 was used by the German Federal Railroad in the 1950s and was known for its reliability and performance. The locomotive has a length over buffers of 275.3 mm and is designed for a minimum radius of 360 mm, whereby a radius of 420 mm or more is recommended for optimum running characteristics. It is equipped with a PluX22 interface and has four traction tires as well as a built-in flywheel for smooth running. The light changes as a three-light headlamp signal alternating in the direction of travel. The interior lighting is built in and the locomotive is prepared for the installation of a Seuthe No. 20 smoke generator. A sound decoder is prepared and can be retrofitted.
Era III covers the period from 1945 to 1970 and is considered the heyday of steam locomotives in Germany. Many technical innovations were introduced during this era and the railroad experienced a significant upswing.
