About the model: Brawa supplies the model of the Gravita® class 261 diesel locomotive from Era VI on a scale of 1:87. The model is true to the era and features a fine paint scheme as well as detailed lettering and extra handrails. The model has also been prepared for retrofitting a sound decoder. About the prototype: Although the vehicle only existed as a prototype and had not yet been extensively tested, DB Schenker opted for the Gravita® 10BB in its 2007 tender for 130 locomotives. The DB locomotives ordered have now been fully produced and delivered and are in use throughout Germany under the class designation BR 261.
