Brawa 70132 H0 steam locomotive 011, DB, Ep. IV Product Details

Description

Are you looking for a DB coal-fired express steam locomotive for your Era IV layout?

The Brawa 70132 H0 steam locomotive class 011 of the German Federal Railroad shows the 011 062-7 in the condition from 1968, stationed at the Rheine depot. With coal firing, new cylinders, roller bearings, LED lighting and PluX22 interface, this locomotive is a perfect addition for realistic express train compositions on Era IV layouts in the DC system.

Model information & technical data

The locomotive is designed in 1:87 scale for H0 gauge and measures 277.50 mm over buffers. It is designed for the 2-wire direct current system (DC) and is not digitized, but is equipped with a PluX22 interface for easy retrofitting. The LED lighting provides a white light change and interior lighting.

Running gear & drive

The drive is in the tender for the best tractive power. A close coupling is used to connect the locomotive to the tender, and there is a standard guide shaft at the end of the tender. The locomotive has a single axle bearing made of metal and a true-to-scale wheelbase. Recommended minimum radius: from R 420 mm.

Detailing & technical highlights

The locomotive has new construction cylinders, six sand boxes, satin turntables, a flat chimney and a wheel flange lubrication pump. The body is made of impact-resistant plastic with a perforated die-cast zinc frame. Spoked wheels, the finest metal driving and coupling rods and a detailed internal engine make this model a real highlight.

Prototype: 011 062-7 - the coal-fired express locomotive

The class 011 was the coal-fired version of the 01.10. The 011 062-7 depicted here was based at the Rheine depot and was in service on the Emsland line until 1973. The locomotive was one of the last representatives of the steam-powered express train era at the DB - even before the introduction of the oil-fired class 012 in this area of operation.

For model railroaders who demand faithfulness to the prototype & technology

The Brawa BR 011 impresses with its detailed implementation, reliable technology and digitization options. Ideal for all those who want to create realistic DB trains of Era IV - with historical character and future-proof technology.
