Brawa 70134 H0 steam locomotive 011, DB, Ep. IV, DC-Sound Product Details

Description

Are you looking for a coal-fired express steam locomotive with sound for your Era IV layout?

The Brawa 70134 H0 steam locomotive BR 011 of the German Federal Railroad represents the 011 062-7 in the condition from 1968 - an authentic model of the last coal-fired express locomotives before the end of the steam era. With a factory-integrated digital decoder with sound, LED lighting, coal firing and PluX22 interface, this model is the perfect choice for sophisticated DC layouts in Era IV.

Model information & technical data

The model is produced on a scale of 1:87 for the H0 gauge and measures 277.50 mm over buffers. It is designed for the 2-wire direct current system (DC), digitized at the factory and equipped with original sound. The PluX22 interface is also integrated. The locomotive has LED light changes in white and interior lighting.

Drive & technology

The drive is in the tender for optimum running characteristics. The locomotive has a close coupler between the locomotive and the tender as well as a standard guide shaft at the tender end. Single axle bearings made of metal and a true-to-scale wheelbase ensure smooth running characteristics. Recommended minimum radius: from R 420 mm.

Detailing & equipment

Equipped with new cylinders, roller bearings, satin turntables, flat chimney, flange lubrication pump and six sand boxes, the locomotive is excellently detailed. The body is made of impact-resistant plastic, the bar frame, spoked wheels and axle bearings are made of die-cast zinc. Filigree metal driving and coupling rods and a detailed internal engine round off the overall picture.

Prototype: 011 062-7 - The last of its kind on the Emsland line

The coal-fired 011 062-7 was in service on the Emsland line until 1973 and was operated from the Rheine depot. It was one of the last BR 011s before the oil-fired 012 locomotives took its place. The model shows it in its last state of maintenance with typical features of the late Era IV.

Ideal for authentic steam train operation in the late Federal Railroad era

With realistic sound, LED technology and high model fidelity, the Brawa BR 011 brings a real steam atmosphere to your DC layout - for collectors, company railroaders and history fans alike.
