Brawa 70135 H0 steam locomotive 011, DB, Ep. IV, AC-Sound Product Details

Description

Are you looking for a DB coal-fired express train locomotive with digital sound for your AC layout?

The Brawa 70135 H0 steam locomotive BR 011 of the German Federal Railroad is a finely detailed model of the 011 062-7 in the condition from 1968. With coal firing, LED lighting, digital decoder with sound and typical equipment features such as flat chimney, new construction cylinders and flange lubrication pump, this locomotive is a real highlight for Märklin-compatible Era IV layouts.

Model information & technical data

The model is produced on a scale of 1:87 for gauge H0 and measures 277.50 mm over buffers. It is designed for the 3-wire alternating current system (AC) and is factory-equipped with a digital decoder and original sound. A PluX22 interface is also available. The LED lighting offers white light change and interior lighting.

Technology & driving characteristics

The tender is driven for excellent traction. A close coupler between the locomotive and tender as well as a splitter-guided standard shaft at the end of the tender ensure reliable car transitions. Single axle bearings made of metal and a true-to-scale wheelbase ensure smooth running characteristics. Minimum radius: recommended from R 420 mm.

Prototypical equipment & detailing

The model has an openwork bar frame, spoked wheels, the finest metal driving and coupling rods and a detailed internal drive unit. Further features: six sand boxes, roller bearings, satin turntables, flat chimney, wheel flange lubrication pump and a realistic standing boiler rear wall.

Prototype: 011 062-7 - Last steam trains on the Emsland line

The coal-fired 011 062-7 was used from the Rheine depot and remained in service on the Emsland line until 1973. It is one of the last representatives of DB steam locomotive traction in Era IV - a piece of Federal Railroad history that is authentically reproduced in this model.

For all those who want to combine sound, steam and Era IV in style

Whether for use in front of express trains or in the display case - this class 011 with sound, LED technology and high detailing offers a convincing overall package for your AC layout with the Märklin system.
