The Brawa 70139 H0 steam locomotive S2/6 3201 is a faithful reproduction of the legendary express locomotive of the Royal Bavarian State Railroad (K.Bay.Sts.B.) from Era I. The S2/6 was built in 1906 by the renowned Maffei locomotive factory for the Royal Bavarian State Railway. With its innovative design and technology, it represented a milestone in locomotive construction. As early as 1907, it reached a record speed of 154.4 km/h during test runs between Munich and Augsburg, making it the fastest steam locomotive on the European mainland. At the time of its commissioning, the S2/6 wore an elegant grey livery with "Russian gloss plates" on the boiler.

The close coupling between the locomotive and tender ensures a prototypical distance. The slant-grooved 5-pole motor with two flywheels ensures quiet and smooth running characteristics.
The steam locomotive has a length over buffers of 242.9 mm and is suitable for a minimum radius of 360 mm. It has a built-in sound decoder from Döhler & Haass and an energy storage unit that guarantees an uninterruptible power supply. The cab lighting can be switched on and off in digital operation and the three-light headlights change automatically depending on the direction of travel. The locomotive is also prepared for the installation of a Seuthe No. 20 smoke generator.
Era I, which covers the period from the beginnings of the railroad to around 1920, was characterized by technical innovations and a pioneering spirit. The S2/6 is a symbol of this era and demonstrates the progress made in locomotive construction at that time.
