The Brawa 70140 H0 Steam Locomotive 15 001 is a faithful reproduction of the legendary express locomotive of the German State Railroad Company (DRG) from Era II. The locomotive has a length over buffers of 242.9 mm and is designed for a minimum radius of 360 mm. It is equipped with a PluX22 interface and has two traction tires as well as a built-in flywheel for smooth running. The light changes as a two-light headlights alternating in the direction of travel. The interior lighting is built in and the locomotive is prepared for the installation of a Seuthe No. 20 smoke generator. Spring buffers and close coupler kinematics are also included. An energy storage unit is installed in the Digital EXTRA version, a sound decoder is prepared and can be retrofitted.
Era II covers the period from 1920 to 1950 and is considered the heyday of steam locomotives in Germany. Many technical innovations were introduced during this era and the railroad experienced a significant boom. The class 15 played a central role in express train services and significantly shaped the image of the railroad during this period.
