Description

Like the prototype, the locomotive models are available in open and closed cab versions. This model is in the closed version. The small locomotives are powered by a 3 volt micro precision motor with gear reduction for prototypical slow speed and strong tractive effort. A built-in magnet increases the locomotive's contact pressure on the metal-backed narrow gauge tracks, thus ensuring safe current pickup from the rails and jerk-free slow speed. The locomotives have a coupling pin on the back of the cab for realistic train formation as well as a magnetic coupling for operation with trolleys and cars from the Busch mine train assortment. As in the original, the smallest track radii (up to 100 mm) can be traveled with the light rail locomotive. It can also be used very well for diorama design and supplementing existing model railroad layouts due to its compact design and small space requirements.
