The ESU 31184 steam locomotive 78 395 is a high-quality replica of the famous class 78 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) and comes from epoch III. You can switch between the two systems by removing or attaching the wiper and flipping a switch in the bottom of the locomotive. The LokSound 5 decoder supports DCC, Motorola®, M4 and Selectrix® systems and is compatible with Märklin® mfx command stations, which simplifies operation and integration on different layouts.
The LokSound 5 technology offers impressive sound quality, which is amplified by a double loudspeaker with a large sound capsule. From driving noises to steam exhaust sounds, every journey becomes a realistic experience. In addition to the exterior lighting, the model has running gear and driver's cab lighting, which makes operation at night look particularly realistic.
