The ESU 31533 Ae 6/6 11416 Glarus electric loc omotive is an impressive reproduction of the legendary Swiss high-performance locomotive, which shines in the striking colors of the SBB Cargo livery in Era V. After the Second World War, the Ae 6/6 changed the image of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and set new standards for the transportation of heavy freight trains over the Gotthard line. Developed by SLM and BBC in the early 1950s, the locomotive was equipped with six powerful traction motors, which together generated 4300 kW of power and accelerated the locomotive to a top speed of 125 km/h. Over the years, the Ae 6/6 locomotives were adapted to modern requirements and were later given a striking red and blue livery with the large SBB Cargo lettering, which made them unmistakable in Era V.

The locomotive has universal electronics with a plug-in slider and a slide switch that allows a quick change between two-wire and center conductor operation. The minimum radius of 360 mm offers flexible application possibilities on different layout designs and makes the model an excellent choice for any H0 layout.
The locomotive is painted in the red and blue livery of SBB Cargo, which was typical for Era V. This modern paint scheme gives the locomotive a dynamic and powerful appearance that impressively reflects modern Swiss freight traffic.
