The ESU 31742 H0 diesel locomotive 362 614-0 brings a piece of current railroad reality to your model railroad layout. In the traffic red design of the Deutsche Bahn AG, this model presents itself in the condition around 2014 - authentic, powerful and technically up to date. The locomotive is part of the V60 class, which after its modernization was known as the 362 class and is still irreplaceable in heavy shunting service today.
The 362 614-0 embodies the typical mixture of reliability, power and technical advancement. Originally introduced in the 1950s, numerous machines in this series were thoroughly modernized, fitted with new control technology and equipped with radio remote control, among other things. These further developments have made the V60 family an important part of the DB shunting fleet in the 21st century.
The ESU model impresses with its outstanding build quality and a wealth of digital functions. The body and frame are made of metal, which gives the model a realistic weight. The openwork fan grilles, filigree handle bars and the multi-colored driver's cab with inserted driver figure are particularly striking. The powerful bell-shaped armature motor with flywheel ensures a quiet and smooth ride.
A special highlight is the newly developed, load-dependent smoke generator that operates synchronously with the LokSound. Over 31 digital special functions, including cab and driver's desk lighting, running gear lighting and digitally remote-controlled couplings, ensure a lifelike driving experience. The LokSound decoder automatically logs on to RailComPlus® or mfx® control centers and supports all common digital formats.
