The ESU 36066 H0 Bnrdzf 483.1 cab control car brings the typical design of the "Silberling" from Era VI to the model railroad layout. The car was designed in the TRI version and impresses with detailed features such as a multi-colored interior and various lighting options. Equipped with DC wheelsets, the model can easily be converted for AC systems using the optional AC wheelset (item number MBS173138). This cab control car is a perfect addition for all H0 layouts that want to authentically depict modern local traffic.
The "Silberlinge" of the German Federal Railroad were developed between 1959 and 1977 as flexible cars for local and long-distance transport. The characteristic, unpainted peacock's eye pattern on the aluminum outer skin made these cars unmistakable. Thanks to their lightweight design, the Silberlinge were versatile and enjoyed great popularity. From the 1980s onwards, many carriages were modernized, redesigned inside and repainted. The driving trailers, originally equipped with a so-called "Karlsruhe head", were later also given the more modern "Wittenberg head", which was reminiscent of the VT 628 railcars. Despite their long service life, many of these coaches are still in use today and embody the German railroad tradition in regional transport.
The model of the Bnrdzf 483.1 control car from ESU is a real highlight for model railroaders. The multi-colored interior, the separately inserted bench seats and the reproduction of the block or disc brake system ensure a high degree of authenticity. Spring-loaded bellows and openwork steps round off the level of detail and make the car a real eye-catcher on the layout. Thanks to the built-in DC wheelsets and the minimum passable radius of 360 mm, the driving trailer can be used on a wide range of model railway layouts.
The driving trailer is equipped with separately switchable lighting for the front, driver's cab, luggage compartment and passenger compartment. The high beam of the "Wittenberg head" driving trailer can also be switched on if required. These lighting functions can be adjusted as required and ensure a realistic driving experience. In addition, the interior can be easily retrofitted with ESU interior lighting, which also sets the scene perfectly inside the cab control car.
Equipped with DC wheelsets as standard, the Bnrdzf 483.1 driving trailer can be flexibly converted for use on AC systems. With the optional AC wheel set (item number MBS173138), the car can be quickly and easily adapted for AC operation, making it particularly versatile and flexible in use.
The ESU 36066 H0 Bnrdzf 483.1 driving trailer is ideal for model railroaders who value detailed and modern train sets. With its versatile lighting and flexible use, this control car is perfect for a realistic representation of German regional traffic in Era VI. Thanks to the option of converting to alternating current and the detailed design, this control car will become an indispensable part of your H0 layout.
