The manifold possibilities of the ESU ECoS convince many model railroaders so much that they would like to replace their previous digital command station by an ECoS. In the past, there was often the wish to be able to continue using the previous hand controllers and feedback modules. While the ECoSniffer input offered a solution at least for hand controllers (in combination with the "old" digital command station), the feedback modules could not be integrated.
With the ESU L.Net converter we offer the possibility to connect hand controllers of the companies Uhlenbrock® or Digitrax® directly to the ECoS or Central Station 60212 "Reloaded". Additionally, switch modules or feedback modules can be integrated and used in an ESU system. Since the aforementioned modules use the well-known Loconet® protocol for communication, the L.Net converter implements a so-called Loconet™ "master" and translates the commands received there and sends them via the ECoSlink to the ESU digital command station. What can the L.Net converter do in concrete terms?
With the help of the L.Net converter you can operate Loconet™ compatible hand controllers directly at your ECoS. The hand controller display is always synchronous with the ECoS. There is no restriction to a data format. You can control locomotives with DCC, Motorola®, Selectrix® or M4® data format, even if the hand controller alone could not do this!
Loconet™ switching modules, compatible hand controllers and feedback modules can also be operated. For the ECoS it does not matter whether a turnout or signal is controlled by a conventional decoder or is directly connected to the Loconet™: The control commands are sent to both systems in parallel.
