The four-axle sliding tarpaulin wagons of the Shimmns type are designed for the transportation of weather-sensitive, mostly metal-processing products such as coils, sheet metal rolls or steel parts. Their movable side walls make loading and unloading easier and make them an indispensable part of modern freight transport - also for ÖBB.
Fleischmann supplies two finely detailed wagons with clean printing and prototypical design. Thanks to NEM 355 couplers with close coupler link, the cars can be easily integrated into freight trains - whether in single car traffic or as part of a block train.
With an overall length over buffers of 150 mm, the wagons are ideal for operation on both compact and larger systems. They are an excellent match for traction units such as the ÖBB 1293 (Vectron), Taurus or international multi-system locomotives and can be harmoniously integrated into international train formations.
