Are you looking for an impressive museum locomotive with historical significance? The 01 202 express locomotive is a prime example of living railroad history - lovingly maintained, faithfully reproduced and ideal for special trains or presentation layouts of eras IV and V.
Built in 1936 by Henschel & Sohn in Kassel, the 01 202 locomotive was first used by the Deutsche Reichsbahn and later by the Bundesbahn - mainly in southern Germany. After its active service, it was moved to Switzerland in 1975, where it was restored by dedicated railroad enthusiasts. Since 1991, the Pacific 01 202 Association has taken care of its operation - today it is considered one of the most beautiful operational locomotives of its class.
Fleischmann presents the model with numerous lovingly implemented details: open front apron, Witte wind deflectors, central smokebox door, finely printed boiler rings and wheel tires as well as an additional generator. The clear view between the boiler and running gear emphasizes the high-quality implementation. The locomotive is equipped with a Next18 digital interface and can easily be digitally retrofitted if required.
The locomotive is suitable for radii from 192 mm and has a close coupler link between the locomotive and tender as well as an NEM 355 coupler on the tender. Two axles with traction tires provide good traction. Thanks to its design, the locomotive is ideal for special trains, museum runs or as an eye-catcher in presentation layouts.
The Fleischmann 714504 brings the splendor of the 01 series to today's model railway world. Now available in the model railroad store - perfect for fans of historic steam locomotives with a living history!
