Are you looking for a versatile tank locomotive for branch line and mainline service in Era II? The class 86 261 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft is finally returning to the Fleischmann range as a detailed model - perfect for authentic train sets of the 1930s in N scale.
From 1928 to 1943, a total of 775 class 86 locomotives were produced by almost all German locomotive factories. The 1'D1' tank locomotives with an output of 1,000 HP and a maximum speed of up to 80 km/h were designed for mixed service on branch lines and feeder lines and were considered robust all-rounders in the DRG fleet.
Fleischmann supplies the locomotive in the DRG version with finely detailed leading and trailing wheels with perforated spokes. The robust die-cast metal chassis ensures high stability and tractive power. The locomotive has a low-maintenance bell-type armature motor, LED headlights on both sides, and a Next18 interface for easy digitization.
With four powered axles, a traction tire axle and a length of only 87 mm, the locomotive is perfect for tight radii from 192 mm. It can be ideally combined with Prussian compartment wagons or short goods wagons of Era II and is ideal for platform scenes, BW dioramas or small shunting yards.
The Fleischmann 7160036 Class 86 261 offers a successful combination of nostalgic design and modern technology. Now available in the model railroad store - for detailed Reichsbahn scenarios in N scale!
