Are you looking for a striking French freight locomotive for your Era III model railroad? The 150.Y.3 of the SNCF brings heavy post-war locomotives in N scale to your layout - with classic lines, intricate details and digital retrofit option for maximum prototype fidelity.
The 150Y class is based on the German BR 44 war locomotive and was taken over and operated by the SNCF after the Second World War. As a heavy 1'E freight locomotive, it was used throughout the French network, primarily for heavy freight traffic. The locomotive 150.Y.3 has wind deflectors and classic spoked leading wheels - a real eye-catcher in service.
Fleischmann authentically reproduces the prototype - with fine printing, wind deflectors, spoke wheels at the front and matching paintwork for Era III. The direction-dependent LED headlights and Z21 compatibility round off the range of applications. The locomotive is intended for analogue operation at the factory, but can be easily digitized via the NEM 651 interface.
A powerful 3-pole motor with two driven axles and two traction tires ensures reliable running. The locomotive is suitable for a minimum radius of 192 mm and is equipped with NEM 355 couplers (without close coupler link) - ideal for prototypical SNCF freight trains of the 1950s and 60s.
The Fleischmann 7160037 150.Y.3 brings French railroad operation to your layout - now available in the model railway store!
