Description

Fleischmann 7170020 N Series 64 steam locomotive, SNCB, Ep. III, DC digital

The Fleischmann 7170020 Series 64 steam locomotive from the Belgian State Railways (SNCB) brings the history of one of the most famous steam locomotives in Europe directly to your model railway layout. With state-of-the-art digital technology and historical authenticity, this model is an excellent choice for N scale model railroaders.

The history of the 64 series in Belgium

As the successor to the legendary Prussian P 8, the class 38 established itself with almost all European railroad administrations after the turmoil of the world wars. In Belgium, 148 operational locomotives were classified as the 64 series. These powerful passenger locomotives shaped the image of the Belgian railroads for decades and were given a new series designation in 1946.

Digital technology and historical details

The Fleischmann 7170020 is equipped with a digital decoder permanently soldered in at the factory and is therefore ideal for operation on digital model railroad layouts. The prototypical view between the boiler and running gear as well as the robust die-cast metal chassis make this locomotive a highlight both visually and technically. The locomotive is equipped with 2 headlights that can be controlled digitally.
