The Fleischmann 732405 N scale electric locomotive Re 421 394-8 brings modern Swiss locomotive design in miniature form to your model railway layout. With its eye-catching "Zurich-Munich" advertising livery and prototypical details, it represents the current state of the art and international rail traffic.
The Re 421 is a further development of the proven Re 4/4 II, especially for cross-border traffic between Switzerland and Germany. Equipped with pantographs for both countries, it is ideal for international connections. Since 2021, the Zurich HB-Munich Hbf connection has been accelerated by the expansion and electrification of the Geltendorf-Lindau section. To highlight this innovation, two Re 421 locomotives have been wrapped in an eye-catching dark blue advertising design with the inscription "Zürich-München".
These locomotives are primarily used between Zurich main station, Lindau and Singen, where they transport passengers comfortably and efficiently. With a journey time of just 3.5 hours, the connection offers a fast and environmentally friendly alternative to other means of transport.
Era VI (from 2007) is characterized by internationalization and modernization in rail transport. The Re 421 in its "Zurich-Munich" livery is a perfect example of cross-border cooperation between railroad companies and the promotion of sustainable mobility.
This model is equipped with finely detailed pantographs for use in Switzerland and Germany. The closed rail scraper is included and can be installed as an option. The light changes depending on the direction of travel in red and white, realized by long-life LEDs. With a length over buffers (LüP) of 96 mm and a minimum radius of 192 mm, the model is ideal for N-gauge layouts.
A Next18 interface allows easy retrofitting with digital technology. The robust design and precise workmanship guarantee excellent running characteristics and a long service life.
