With the Fleischmann 7360034 diesel locomotive 218 406-7, Fleischmann brings a cutting-edge model in N gauge to your layout - in the attractive retro version of epoch VI. The locomotive is presented in an oriental red livery with bib, as it has been back in service in the Allgäu since September 2023. A must for anyone who wants to combine modern railroad depots with historical flair.
The locomotive was delivered to DB by Friedrich Krupp in 1976 and was initially stationed at Kempten depot. After operations in Regensburg, Stendal, Halberstadt and Ulm, it suffered serious fire damage in Langenargen in 2017. After extensive repairs, it returned to Kempten in 2023 - now in an oriental red retro livery and fully operational again in the service of DB AG.
The model shines with numerous prototypical details: bogies with Megi rubber suspension, correctly reproduced roof, rail scrapers and realistic fan grilles. The direction-dependent LED headlights (3x white / 2x red) can be adjusted via a DIP switch. The driver's cab lighting can be switched in digital mode. A Z21 driver's cab is also available.
The locomotive has four driven axles, two of which have traction tires, as well as a flywheel for smooth running characteristics. It can be digitally upgraded thanks to the Next18 interface. With a length of 102 mm and NEM 355 coupling shaft with KK kinematics, it is perfectly suited for use in current DB sets on tight radii from 192 mm.
The Fleischmann 7360034 218 406-7 diesel locomotive is a highlight for all Era VI fans with a sense of railroad romance. Now available in the model railroad store - get this modern classic with an eventful history!
