T679 - "Sergej" with broad gauge offshoot

From 1966, the ČSD received a total of 599 locomotives of the T 679 series, also known as "Sergej". Some units were produced as T 679.5 in broad gauge version. The locomotives were mainly used for heavy freight traffic and shaped the image of rail freight traffic in Czechoslovakia for many years.
