SBB Cargo International is expanding its Vectron fleet and has been leasing locomotives from the leasing company MRCE (Mitsui Rail Capital Europe) since December 2021.The newly developed design with the nickname "Shadowpiercer" is based on the original Alppiercer design and bears the basic color of the lessor MRCE.

Typical of the design from Railcolor is also the naming of the locomotives, which now bear the names and outlines of Swiss lakes on all four corners. The Vectron fleet is equipped with the country packages Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Holland (DACHINL).
