Re 4/4 II - the backbone of the SBB locomotive fleet

With 277 units delivered, the Re 4/4 II is SBB's largest traction unit series. The locomotives were put into service between 1964 and 1985 and are characterized by their versatility and durability. With an output of 4,700 kW and a top speed of 140 km/h, they are equally suitable for passenger and freight services. Heavy trains were often hauled in double traction with a Re 6/6.
