The Fleischmann 7560047 is a finely detailed replica of the Re 6/6 11626 electric locomotive of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). The model represents the locomotive in the operating condition of eras V-VI and impresses with typical Swiss equipment features such as air conditioning and the characteristic "Schnauz" (front stripes).
The Re 6/6 was put into service in 1972 as a replacement for the Ae 6/6. With an hourly output of 7,850 kW and a top speed of 140 km/h, it is still one of the most powerful locomotives in Switzerland today - especially for use on the Gotthard line.
The model has filigree roof equipment with finely executed pantographs and fine etched parts for the windshield wipers. Closed rail scrapers are included with the model as accessories to further emphasize the prototypical character.
The locomotive is powered by a motor with a flywheel that drives all four axles. Two traction tires provide additional traction. The locomotive is suitable for tight radii from 192 mm.
The LED headlights depend on the direction of travel and are implemented according to the Swiss light change. The model has a digital interface in accordance with the Next18 standard and can therefore be easily equipped with an appropriate decoder.
With an NEM 355 coupler pocket and close coupler kinematics, the model is ready for use in prototypical train formations - whether in heavy freight traffic or in high-quality express train service.
