Fleischmann 7560069 N scale electric locomotive 1020 012-9 - ÖBB, Era IV

The Fleischmann 7560069 is a detailed replica of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB ) 1020 012-9 electric locomotive in N scale (1:160). The model represents the condition of Era IV and is finished in the typical blood orange paint scheme with an umber gray roof and running gear.

The locomotive is based on the former DRG class E 94, of which there were 44 locomotives on Austrian territory after the Second World War. Three more locomotives were purchased in 1952 and reclassified as the 1020 series in 1954. For five decades, it was a reliable backbone in freight train and ramp service in almost all of Austria.

The model is equipped with a 3-pole motor with flywheel, which ensures smooth running and high tractive power. It has four powered axles, two of which have traction tires, and is therefore also ideally suited for heavier train sets.

The head lighting consists of LEDs and changes depending on the direction of travel. Digital retrofitting is easily possible thanks to the electronic interface in accordance with NEM 651.

The model is equipped with close coupling kinematics and an NEM 355 coupling shaft. The minimum radius is 192 mm, which also makes it interesting for more compact layouts. The length over buffers is 116 mm.

The Fleischmann 1020 012-9 is the perfect locomotive for Austrian model railroad layouts of Era IV and ideally complements an extensive range of freight cars.
